Overview

Early December is a popular and FABULOUS time to visit New York City.  As such, prices are slightly higher than other times of the year.  In addition, there is pressure on air schedules and flights. The performance by the Radio City Rockettes is also in high demand.  We will secure the tickets as you register for the tour.  For all of these reasons, it would be to your advantage to register for this tour as soon as you’re able. Otherwise, flights and show tickets could sell out.

Itinerary

December 3:  Early start today as we catch our flight from Salt Lake into New York City, arriving in the late afternoon.  Our private coach will transport us to Mid Town Manhattan where we’ll spend three nights within a block of Times Square, and within walking distance of the theaters.  We’ll check in and relax.  This evening we’ll stroll over to Bryant Park Winter Village with festive decorations, an outdoor ice skating rink, fun shops set up for Christmas and atmosphere that is uniquely New York. 

December 4:   Welcome to the Big Apple.  The holiday atmosphere is unrivaled in any major city.  This morning we’ll show you some of the places that make NYC magical this time of year.  We’ll visit Macy’s to see the incredible decorations displayed in the windows and throughout the store.  We’ll stop briefly at the Columbus Circle Christmas Market at the entrance to Central Park. Weather permitting, we’ll take a stroll through Central Park which is magical this time of year. We’ll continue down 5th Avenue with a chance to do some window shopping and see the extraordinary holiday decorations at places like Tiffanys, Bergdorf Goodman and Saks. We’ll stop at Rockefeller Center with famous Christmas Tree and ice skating rink (and lunch). We will then visit the Christmas market at Grand Central Station and make an interesting stop at the New York Public Library.  Free time tonight to enjoy a Broadway show of your choosing which is particularly delightful this time of year.

* Broadway shows are NOT included in the price of the tour.  A list of shows can be found on Ticketmaster.com, Telecharge.com or Broadway.com. Our hotel is centrally located in the midst of all the theaters. 

December 5: This morning we’ll sleep in and enjoy some time to relax after our late night.  At 9:30, we’ll take a short subway ride together down to the new Ground Zero Memorial which is definitely worth a look.  We’ll have a chance to visit to new 9/11 Memorial Museum.  It is extremely well done and an important visit. If you prefer to go to the top of the Freedom Tower instead, you are welcome to do that instead (it would cost an additional $25 per person). We’ll then take a short walking tour in Lower Manhattan to show you things you’ll want to see (weather permitting). Our bus will then take us a few blocks where we’ll take a ride on the Staten Island Ferry so we can get “up close and personal” with the Statue of Liberty.  It’s too cold this time of year to stand in line and visit the statue, but the heated Staten Island Ferry delivers us right past the statue and provides lovely views of the statue and lower Manhattan.  Dinner is included at the ELEGANT Plataforma Restaurant (come hungry!)  This evening’s highlight is Radio City Music Hall and the incredible Christmas Spectacular featuring the high-kicking Rockettes. It is one of the greatest holiday traditions of all time and a MUST see for any Christmas tour to New York. Tour price INCLUDES dinner and tickets to see the Rockettes.

December 6:  This morning we’ll have an additional ½ day to enjoy a bit more of the city’s charm.  We’ll give you several options and you choose what is most appealing to you.  We’ll provide the transportation.  We’ll turn you loose in Little Italy for a delightful farewell lunch before we return to the airport for our flights home, taking memories of a magical trip to NYC!

Please Note

A $300 deposit is required to reserve your space. To make a reservation, simply register online by completing the booking form above. Your deposit will be charged to your credit card. If you prefer, you can call us and we will take your reservation information and credit card details over the phone.  When we receive your reservation, we will email you a receipt confirming that you are registered for the tour.  A letter with instructions, hotel itinerary, flight information (if applicable) and luggage tags will be sent roughly 75 days prior to departure. The balance will be due roughly 60 days prior to departure.  You do not need to pay the balance until after you receive that package.  We prefer final payments in the form of a check.  Webb Tours also accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover. A 2.5% fee applies to final payments made by credit card to cover a portion of the credit card company fees (which are now around 4%)

Cancellation Policy:

We understand that you may need to cancel your trip for unforeseen reasons.  If cancellation occurs 120 days or more before departure, your deposit is refundable.  If airline tickets are purchased prior to that time (with your permission), they are the responsibility of the traveler. In most cases, airlines will allow the value of airline tickets to be used for future travel.  If it is within 120 days, your deposit and other committed funds are non refundable.

Unexpected flight cancellations or weather delays:  Webb Tours works diligently to cover all of the details associated with your travel. We make sure that all ground transportation, lodging, local tours, restaurants, specialists, etc, are in place and awaiting our arrival. We ensure that our directors are well prepared to provide you with an experience that exceeds your expectations.  One thing we do NOT control are the airlines. Significant problems can arise on a group tour due to canceled flights, weather delays or missed connections. In the case of a flight cancellation, Webb Tours will do all we can to work with the airline to move people to the next available flights. Any portion of the tour that is missed due to flight delays or cancellations is NOT the financial responsibility of Webb Tours. Refunds will not be given for hotels, ground transportation, activities or meals that are missed due to flight interruptions. This is another good reason to purchase the travel insruance which has a provision for missed connections (see Group Premier product flyer referenced above for details).  Your participation in the tour signifies that you understand and accept this policy.
