New York City

Early December is a popular and FABULOUS time to visit New York City.  As such, prices are slightly higher than other times of the year.  In addition, there is pressure on air schedules and flights. The performance by the Radio City Rockettes is also in high demand.  We will secure the tickets as you register for the tour.  For all of these reasons, it would be to your advantage to register for this tour as soon as you’re able. Otherwise, flights and show tickets could sell out.

December 1:  Early start today as we catch our flight from Salt Lake into New York City, arriving in the late afternoon.  Our private coach will transport us to Mid Town Manhattan where we’ll spend three nights within a block of Times Square, and within walking distance of the theaters.  We’ll check in and relax.  This evening we’ll stroll over to Bryant Park Winter Village with festive decorations, an outdoor ice skating rink, fun shops set up for Christmas and atmosphere that is uniquely New York. 

December 2:   Welcome to the Big Apple.  The holiday atmosphere is unrivaled in any major city.  This morning we’ll show you some of the places that make NYC magical this time of year.  We’ll visit Macy’s to see the incredible decorations displayed in the windows and throughout the store.  We’ll stop briefl at the Columbus Circle Christmas Market at the entrance to Central Park. Weather permitting, we’ll take a stroll through Central Park which is magical this time of year. We’ll continue down 5th Avenue with a chance to do some window shopping and see the extraordinary holiday decorations at places like Tiffanys, Trump Tower, Bergdorf Goodman and Saks. We’ll stop at Rockefeller Center with famous Christmas Tree and ice skating rink (and lunch). We will then visit the Christmas market at Grand Central Station and make an interesting stop at the New York Public Library.  Free time tonight to enjoy a Broadway show of your choosing which is particularly delightful this time of year.

* Broadway shows are NOT included in the price of the tour.  We will send you a list of available shows and price ranges and you can pick the one that is most interesting to you.  Your director will help you get to your theater.  Our hotel is centrally located in the midst of all the theaters. 

December 3: This morning we’ll sleep in and enjoy some time to relax after our late night.  At 9:30, we’ll take a short subway ride together down to the new Ground Zero Memorial which is definitely worth a look.  We’ll have a chance to visit to new 9/11 Memorial Museum.  It is extremely well done and an important visit. If you prefer to go to the top of the Freedom Tower instead, you are welcome to do that instead (it would cost an additional $20 per person). We’ll then take a short walking tour in Lower Manhattan to show you things you’ll want to see (weather permitting). Our bus will then take us a few blocks where we’ll take a ride on the Staten Island Ferry so we can get “up close and personal” with the Statue of Liberty.  It’s too cold this time of year to stand in line and visit the statue, but the heated Staten Island Ferry delivers us right past the statue and provides lovely views of the statue and lower Manhattan.  This afternoon you can see a Broadway show or choose from other options (like a museum or shopping). Dinner is included at the ELEGANT Plataforma Restaurant (come hungry!)  This evening’s highlight is Radio City Music Hall and the incredible Christmas Spectacular featuring the high-kicking Rockettes. It is one of the greatest holiday traditions of all time and a MUST see for any Christmas tour to New York. Tour price INCLUDES tickets to see the Rockettes.

December 4:  This morning we’ll have an additional ½ day to enjoy a bit more of the city’s charm.  We’ll give you several options and you choose what is most appealing to you.  We’ll provide the transportation.  After lunch, we’ll return to the airport for our flights home, taking memories of a magical trip to NYC!

Registration Information:

To make a reservation, simply fill out the attached reservation form and send it to us with a deposit of $300 per person.  When we receive your deposit, we will mail you a receipt confirming that you are registered for the tour.  A letter with instructions, hotel itinerary flight information (if applicable) and luggage tags will be sent roughly 60 days prior to departure at which time the balance will be due.  You do not need to pay the balance until after you receive that packet.  We require final payments in the form of a check.  If that is not possible, arrangements can be made to use a credit card.  Webb Tours accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover. A 2% fee applies to final payments made by credit card.

Cancellation Penalties

We understand that you may need to cancel your trip for whatever reason.  If it is 60 days or more before departure, all money will be refunded.  If airline tickets are purchased prior to that time (with your permission), they become the property of the traveler and are not refundable.  All other funds will be returned if cancellation occurs outside of 60 days.  If it is within 60 days, we will charge you only what Webb Tours cannot recover.  In some cases, we can recover all of it.  In others, we cannot.  Cruise lines, airlines, hotels and other service providers require funds in advance and have their own rules about what will be refunded once paid.  We must follow their guidelines.  For airlines, specifically, tickets are generally non refundable when purchased.  However, most airlines will allow the value of the canceled tickets to be reused for future travel, though a penalty may be assessed to reuse the tickets.  If you have to cancel, Webb Tours will work with other providers to obtain as much refund as possible for our travelers.  Our travelers know us to be very fair in this regard.

Cancellation Insurance: 

Cancellation insurance is also available should you be interested.  The insurance provider that we us is Travelex Insurance.  You can learn about them at  With this insurance, most of your money will be returned to you in case you have to cancel for covered reasons (illness or death of an immediate family member) at the last minute.  The price for the insurance varies based on the price of the trip and the age of the participant (at the time the insurance is purchased). 

If you are interested in the insurance, you can purchase it through Webb Tours at any time. The insurance goes into effect once purchased.  If you have any pre-existing conditions, it is best to purchase the insurance within 14 days of making your initial deposit as that will cover an illness that may result from a pre-existing condition. If you don’t have pre-existing conditions, you can purchase the insurance any time between now and the time you make your final payment.  Insurance cannot be purchased after your final payment is made.  Webb Tours is not the insurer and acts as agent for Travelex.  To activate your insurance, we need your premium and your birth date.  Insurance also includes the following items:

Trip interruption up to 150% of the cost of the trip (if you have to leave in the middle of the trip)

  • Trip delay: $750
  • Missed Connection: $750
  • Baggage & Personal Effects (for lost luggage): $1,000
  • Baggage Delay: $200
  • Emergency medical/dental expenses: $50,000
  • Emergency Medical Evacuation: $500,000
  • Accidental death/dismemberment during travel: $25,000
