We’ll enjoy the antiquities of Athens before continuing by coach into the interior of the country to see the treasures that lie to the north.
We will then board our cruise ship to cruise into Turkey and some of the Greek Isles. It’s a relaxing and wonderful way to see this part of the world.
Space is limited and cabins sell quickly. We hope you can join us!
Pricing is per person based on DOUBLE or SINGLE occupancy. Triple or quad occupancy is not available due to the size of the ship staterooms.

We arrive in Athens mid morning today. Our local guide will meet us and take us into Athens. After a brief rest, we’ll begin to see the area this afternoon with a visit to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Constitution Square and Panathenaic Stadium. We’ll also visit the Roman Temple of Olympian Zeus and learn about ancient Athens. For sunset tonight, we’ll drive outside the city to visit Cape Sounion. Welcome to Greece!
April 19:
Athens is simply one of the greatest historical cities in the world. From the 8th century BC until their fall to the Romans in 146 BC, the world revolved around Greece. Those accomplishments are still visible and we’ll learn about this powerful empire today. We’ll begin with a morning visit to the world famous Acropolis with the beautifully preserved Parthenon. It’s setting on the hill overlooking the city is breathtaking. We’ll also spend time in the New Acropolis Museum. We’ll enjoy several other sites in Athens today. Dinner is included in the quaint Plaka neighborhood, in the shadow of the Acropolis. B, D
April 20:
Today our coach takes us west via Argolis, Mikenes and Epidaro. This afternoon, we’ll be in Olympia. This is the area that hosted the original Olympic Games, founded in the 8th century B.C. Its extensive ruins include athletic training areas, a stadium and temples dedicated to the gods Hera and Zeus. The Archaeological Museum of Olympia exhibits finds from the site, including a statue of Hermes attributed to the sculptor Praxiteles. It’s a very interesting place to visit. Our hotel is nearby. B, D
April 21:
Today’s journey takes us north into Delphi via Thebes, Levadia and the picturesque village of Arachova, located on the slopes of Mount Parnassus. On arrival in Delphi visit the Sanctuary of Apollo Pythios with Treasury of the Athenians, the Temple of Apollo and the Archaeological Museum containing such masterpieces of ancient Greek sculpture as the bronze Charioteer and the famous athlete Aghias. Stay in Delphi tonight. B, D
April 22:
Breakfast at hotel with the morning free at leisure during which you can do more exploring on your own if you wish. Then depart on an interesting trip through Central Greece and the towns of Lamia to Kalambaka. Overnight in Kalambaka. B, D
April 23:
Today we visit Meteora and enjoy a unique and most impressive scenery with the ageless Monasteries perched high on these natural rock outcroppings. The visual effect is quite stunning. You’ll have a chance to visit inside one or two of these Monasteries containing priceless historical & religious treasures high atop these narrow cliffs. It is one of the highlights of our journey. We then return back to Athens in the afternoon staying again at the Tatania Hotel. B, D
April 24
Today we transfer to the Lavrion Port to board our ship that will take us through the Greek Isles and into Turkey. Our cruise line is Celestyal Cruises and they are experts in this part of the world. The geography in this area is relatively small. These aren’t massive cruise liners covering braod geographies. They are more like large, well organized ferries sailing the Agean Sea. Cabins are small but there are great amenities on the ship. We sail at 1:00 today and arrive around 5:30 PM on the charming island of Mykonos which is best enjoyed in the evening. Wander the narrow streets with the white washed buildings. Watch the sunset from a restaurant of your choosing. We sail again at 11:00 this evening.
NOTE: All meals and entertainment are included on the ship. TIPS are also included in our price.
April 25
By 7:00 AM, we are in Kusadasi, Turkey. We’ll exit the ship and take a short drive to the ancient site of EPHASUS made famous by Paul in the New Testament. We’ll enjoy a guided tour and rediscover why these events were so critical to the spread of Christianity. It is a morning you won’t soon forget. We sail this afternoon to the Island of Patmos where we’ll trace the steps of John the Revelator who spent time here. We’ll be in Patmos from 4:30 to 9:30 PM. We’ll visit the cave where John was to have written the revelations. We’ll see the fortress-like, 11th-century monastery dedicated to Saint John which overlooks the whitewashed houses of the hilltop capital. It’s an interesting place to visit.
April 26
Today we spend the day in Rhodes. Also known as the “Knights’ island”, Rhodes has a rich historical past, which you can tell by its historical buildings and monuments. The atmosphere in Rhodes Old Town is simply unique! Strong walls, stone-paved alleys, elegant mansions, and a medieval castle create the illusion that you have time-traveled back to the age of the knights. We’ll spend a good part of the day here. Our ship departs at 6:00 PM this evening.
April 27:
At 7:00 this morning, we’ll be in Heraklion, Greece where we’ll spend a few hours. This is a port city on the island of Crete. The city is known for the Palace of Knossos, just outside the city. The huge archaeological site dates back thousands of years to the Minoan civilization, and includes frescoes and baths. We’ll definitely have a look. The ship sails at noon and will be in the most famous of the Greek Isles at 4:00: Santorini. This is the gem of the entire area and we’ll have an evening to enjoy and explore. You’ll have a chance to get a nice dinner overlooking the shimmering sea – you’ll have some free time to wander these famous narrow streets this evening. We sail for Athens at 10:00 PM.
April 28:
We wake up in Athens today and transfer to the airport for our flights home. You’ll never forget your adventure to GREECE (with a bit or Turkey)! We look forward to being your hosts.
Registration Information:
To make a reservation, simply fill out the attached reservation form and send it to us with a deposit of $500 per person. When we receive your deposit, we will mail you a receipt confirming that you are registered for the tour. A letter with instructions, hotel itinerary flight information (if applicable) and luggage tags will be sent roughly 60 days prior to departure at which time the balance will be due. You do not need to pay the balance until after you receive that packet. We require final payments in the form of a check. If that is not possible, arrangements can be made to use a credit card. Webb Tours accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover. A 2.5% fee applies to final payments made by credit card.
Cancellation Penalties
We understand that you may need to cancel your trip for whatever reason. If it is 120 days or more before departure, all money will be refunded. If airline tickets are purchased prior to that time (with your permission), they become the property of the traveler and are not refundable. All other funds will be returned if cancellation occurs outside of 120 days. If it is within 120 days, we will charge you only what Webb Tours cannot recover. In some cases, we can recover all of it. In others, we cannot. Cruise lines, airlines, hotels and other service providers require funds in advance and have their own rules about what will be refunded once paid. We must follow their guidelines. For airlines, specifically, tickets are generally non refundable when purchased. However, most airlines will allow the value of the canceled tickets to be reused for future travel, though a penalty may be assessed to reuse the tickets. If you have to cancel, Webb Tours will work with other providers to obtain as much refund as possible for our travelers. Our travelers know us to be very fair in this regard.
Cancellation Insurance:
Cancellation insurance is also available should you be interested. The insurance provider that we us is Travelex Insurance. You can learn about them at www.travelexinsurance.com. With this insurance, most of your money will be returned to you in case you have to cancel for covered reasons (illness or death of an immediate family member) at the last minute. The price for the insurance varies based on the price of the trip and the age of the participant (at the time the insurance is purchased).
If you are interested in the insurance, you can purchase it through Webb Tours at any time. The insurance goes into effect once purchased. If you have any pre-existing conditions, it is best to purchase the insurance within 14 days of making your initial deposit as that will cover an illness that may result from a pre-existing condition. If you don’t have pre-existing conditions, you can purchase the insurance any time between now and the time you make your final payment. Insurance cannot be purchased after your final payment is made. Webb Tours is not the insurer and acts as agent for Travelex. To activate your insurance, we need your premium and your birth date. Insurance also includes the following items:
Trip interruption up to 150% of the cost of the trip (if you have to leave in the middle of the trip)
