Webb Tours has been taking people to the world famous Tournament of Roses Parade since 1970. We are gearing up for the Rose Parade in 2024 and we will be there to enjoy it. And we’ll add some other fun things in the area that you’ll read about in this brochure. It’s an American and Webb Tours tradition going back decades. It continues to get better every year.
So join us as we ring in 2024! This one fills fast. Don’t wait!
We expect airfare to be roughly $300 per person.
We have had the same seats to watch the Rose Parade for over 40 years. They are at the beginning of the parade route with the sun at our backs – and the bus parks just steps behind us which is convenient for before and after the parade. These same seats are reserved again for the 2023 parade. Hope you can join us.
December 28, 2023: This morning, we’ll gather for our flight which arrives in Burbank. After lunch, we’ll drive an hour to beautiful Santa Barbara, California. This is a lovely city on the ocean that is worth a look. We’ll take you down to Shoreline Park for a chance to stroll and enjoy the views. Our hotel is about an hour up the road in the Danish town of Solvang.
December 29: Welcome to charm! Recently, this Danish town celebrated its 107 year anniversary and we arrive at the tail end of the Yulefest to enjoy the lights and decorations and the holiday atmosphere. This morning, your tour director will show you around the town and surrounding areas. She grew up in this area so she has lots of treasures to share with you (including an Olive Tree farm, lavender fields, beautiful vineyards, the interesting Santa Ynez Mission and more. There is much to see and learn about here. In the late afternoon, we’ll drive 30 minutes down to the ocean (Gaviota State Park) and take a look at the tide pools (tide permitting) teeming with interesting sea life. After a rest at the hotel, a lovely dinner is included this evening at Bit ‘O Denmark (or similar) featuring delicious Danish food. Tour pays for breakfast, dinner and local tour.
December 30: This morning we drive south along the coast toward Los Angeles. We go directly to the Irwindale Pavilion which is a warehouse where the floats are being assembled. There is a flurry of activity as the live flowers are scattered over the floats. You can walk within a few feet of about 1/4 of the parade floats and have a chance to really appreciate the detail that goes into every float. After lunch, we have reserved seats to enjoy BANDFEST which is very enjoyable. During the parade, you only get a chance to see these talented bands briefly. At Bandfest, we can enjoy more of their talents – as these are the best bands in the country. After a rest, we’ll drive down to Long Beach and enjoy a fun and unique activity called Gondola Getaway. Authentic Venetian gondolas gently cruise us through the enchanting canals and waterways of Naples Island. It’s as close as you get to Venice in the USA. We will enjoy delicious New Year’s dinner at The Reef Restaurant (or similar). Breakfast, float viewing, Bandfest, dinner and Gondolas are included.
December 31: This morning we’ll drive up to the famous Griffith Park Observatory (near the Hollywood sign) for spectacular views of the city. We will then visit the famous Huntington Library to enjoy the beautiful gardens and interesting museums, We’ll have lunch (on own) while we’re there. We’ll show you around Hollywood this afternoon including time at Hollywood and Highland to see the Walk of Fame. Tonight you will have an option to see a Broadway Show at the Pantages Theater (just down the street). Those who don’t wish to see a play will be transferred to the hotel. Note: At the time of this brochure, the play at Pantages Theater for December has not been announced – tickets not included in the price. Tour pays for breakfast, lunch and museum admission today.
January 1: This morning we will arise early and head for Pasadena for the 133rd Annual Tournament of Roses Parade. The parade continues to get better year after year. You’ll be among the first to see the spectacle as our excellent reserved seats are at the beginning of the parade route (near the network television booths). We have an unobstructed view in both directions and the sun is at our backs. In addition, the bus parks right behind our seats which is very convenient. It is often chilly until the sun comes up so it’s nice to have the bus close by just in case. It is the BEST POSSIBLE scenario for Rose Parade seats (we have enjoyed these seats for over 30 years). After the parade, we will enjoy a chance to see all of the floats up close at the post parade float viewing before transferring to the airport for our flight back to Salt Lake. Tour to pay for light breakfast, parade seats and float viewing.

Registration Information:
To make a reservation, simply fill out the attached reservation form and send it to us with a deposit of $300 per person. When we receive your deposit, we will mail you a receipt confirming that you are registered for the tour. A letter with instructions, hotel itinerary flight information (if applicable) and luggage tags will be sent roughly 60 days prior to departure at which time the balance will be due. You do not need to pay the balance until after you receive that packet. We require final payments in the form of a check. If that is not possible, arrangements can be made to use a credit card. Webb Tours accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover. A 2% fee applies to final payments made by credit card.
Cancellation Penalties
We understand that you may need to cancel your trip for whatever reason. If it is 60 days or more before departure, all money will be refunded. If airline tickets are purchased prior to that time (with your permission), they become the property of the traveler and are not refundable. All other funds will be returned if cancellation occurs outside of 60 days. If it is within 60 days, we will charge you only what Webb Tours cannot recover. In some cases, we can recover all of it. In others, we cannot. Cruise lines, airlines, hotels and other service providers require funds in advance and have their own rules about what will be refunded once paid. We must follow their guidelines. For airlines, specifically, tickets are generally non refundable when purchased. However, most airlines will allow the value of the canceled tickets to be reused for future travel, though a penalty may be assessed to reuse the tickets. If you have to cancel, Webb Tours will work with other providers to obtain as much refund as possible for our travelers. Our travelers know us to be very fair in this regard.
Cancellation Insurance:
Cancellation insurance is also available should you be interested. The insurance provider that we us is Travelex Insurance. You can learn about them at www.travelexinsurance.com. With this insurance, most of your money will be returned to you in case you have to cancel for covered reasons (illness or death of an immediate family member) at the last minute. The price for the insurance varies based on the price of the trip and the age of the participant (at the time the insurance is purchased).
If you are interested in the insurance, you can purchase it through Webb Tours at any time. The insurance goes into effect once purchased. If you have any pre-existing conditions, it is best to purchase the insurance within 14 days of making your initial deposit as that will cover an illness that may result from a pre-existing condition. If you don’t have pre-existing conditions, you can purchase the insurance any time between now and the time you make your final payment. Insurance cannot be purchased after your final payment is made. Webb Tours is not the insurer and acts as agent for Travelex. To activate your insurance, we need your premium and your birth date. Insurance also includes the following items:
Trip interruption up to 150% of the cost of the trip (if you have to leave in the middle of the trip)
